Introduction

Introduction of a colleague

97

Strategy:

To introduce a new colleague compose a warm, friendly letter yet make sure it maintains a concise, business-like feel to it. Make sure you include just enough details so there is no confusion as to who your new colleague is, where he came from and details of the new position he is filling.

Stage one:

Begin by announcing the name of your new colleague and some brief, relevant details of his previous employment position.

Stage two:

Include a warm compliment to welcome your new colleague and give some initial details of his new role in the company.

Stage three:

Give notice that your new colleague is eager to meet all the members of staff and looks forward to all their help and assistance in carrying out his new role.
